VOLUNTEERING TEACHING IN THAILAND
I was teaching mandarin as a volunteer in an elementary school in Chiangmai, Thailand.
ART THERAPY IN CHILE
In 2017, Icy traveld to Chile to volunteer as an art therapist in a local NGO Fundacion Trascender. With the assistance from the team, Icy organized four mural painting events in Hogal de Cristo, La Chimba kindergarten, Juan Papic and local rehabilitaiton center. She also hosted various art therapy workshops for people in the rehabilitatin center, who were homeless, criminals and drug addicts, to help them rebuild self-esteem through art.
WORKSHOP FOR STAY-AT-HOME CHILDREN
After the earthquake in Sichuan which happened in 2008, the number of the stay-at-home children in the earthquake area has creased for their parents are seeking work opportunities in the cities. Along with Sichuan Youth Culture Institute, we visited the local schools to give art workshops for the stay-at-home children, warmed their hearts through art.
