ABOUT ICY TAN

Icy Tan is an illustrator and visual artist born in Chengdu, China.

She considers herself very lucky to be a human being on Earth, able to experience the marvels of daily life. Her art is about her keen observations and child-like wonder toward everyday life's details and small moments. Through drawing, painting, writing and photography, she captures the inspirations, imaginations, emotions, and subtle humor.

In her early childhood, she didn't have many human friends and instead established deep friendship connections with flowers, trees, ducks, dog, cat and beatles...Talking to her imaginary friends, writing a imagined story in her head was always a fun activity for her.

She is also into literature, music, movies and travel. She has took her sketchbook and traveled to Chile, Peru, Mexico, Egypt, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Australia, USA etc.

When she is not traveling, she enjoys drinking coffee and drawing alongside her best friend, the dog Xiaobai she adopted in 2013.
