_{"People Watching" is a personal art project started by Icy Tan in 2015. Since Icy was a child, she has found herself drawn to observing people. As a child, she entertained herself by sitting in her mother's tailor shop after school and drawing the various individuals and objects in her everyday life.}

 

_{By watching people, you can learn about human behavior and the culture behind everyday activities. Drawing while people watching is a way to capture your own take on what you observe. As a travel addict, Icy has taken this art project along with her on every adventure; this project reflects her wandering feet and wandering mind. She draws people she has seen on different trips in different cities and countries, from Chile to China, from New York to Bali. Some people collect stamps; Icy collects these drawings, a material collection of immaterial moments, renderings of the everyday lives of everyday people around the world.}
